Austrian Red Cross
The Austrian Red Cross (AutRC) is looking for an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager. The delegate is organizing tasks for the implementation of programmes for conflict affected people in Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) as well as other Red Cross Red Crescent Movement and external partners.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Manage people and processes to ensure timely and high-quality implementation of activities in the humanitarian programme for conflict-affected people in Ukraine
- Support the local URCS branches to manage internationally funded projects (reporting, budget, monitoring, planning)
- Coordinate monitoring of time plan and availability of resources needed (e.g. trainers, venues,…)
- Coordinate reporting tasks on the assigned activities, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery. Proactively contributes to further development of reporting systems
- Coordinate budget supervision, planning, and revisions. Ensuring effective use of funds and compliance with donor regulations and local legislation
- Ensure mainstreaming of cross-cutting agenda (such as protection, inclusion) across all activities
- Coordinate with other team members and the technical team (mainly Health) to support activities
- Fulfil assigned general administration tasks (e.g. fleet management where applicable). If assigned to an office outside Kyiv, also ensure a proper office administration
Your profile
- Austrian (or EU) work permit is required
- At least 3 years operational management experience in international humanitarian and/or development programming (NGO, IO, or Charity)
- Degree or diploma in international development, business management or other relevant discipline
- Solid experience in project development and implementation, capacity building and management with a local implementing partner
- Coordination, communication and planning skills, experience in donor reporting, accountability, and compliance
- Ability to work under pressure in a demanding security environment
- Very good English skills; Ukrainian, Russian and German skills are a strong asset
- Strongly motivated by humanitarian and development work, and high sensitivity to diversity
About the job
- Job location: main base Kyiv; with longer assignments, travels to other destination or also permanent shift of main base possible if required
- Start of employment: Preferred March 2024, latest April 2024
- Duration: minimum 1 year with option to extend
- Compensation: minimum monthly all-in salary of EUR 3.860 (RK 14) plus salary valorisation for 2024 / 14 times per year; option to be raised depending on qualifications and experience. Accommodation in country of assignment is being provided
