Grants Manager – Southeast Asia

Background

SoCha has an expanding profile of donor-funded monitoring, evaluation, and learning projects across Asia and seeks to staff a qualified Grants Manager to support these projects in the near term.

The Grants Manager will lead activities related to issuing, monitoring, and reporting on grants while also leading grantee capacity building.

Scope of Work

The Grants Manager will be the primary point on contact and work with the donor and grantees to:

  • Manage all administrative and technical tasks related to grants.
  • Conduct final review of grant applications and related decision making.
  • Oversee all activities related to grants management including due diligence and background checks, donor requests, and reporting.
  • Manage tracking of grant activities against performance indicators to ensure successful management of grants based on donor requirements.
  • Identify grantee capacity building opportunities and lead efforts to provide relevant technical assistance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in international development, social science, or a related field.
  • At least ten (10) years of experience in grant management, preferably on donor-funded projects.
  • Prior experience working on monitoring and evaluation and/or learning and adaptive management projects preferred.
  • Experience leading support of local organizations on effective grant management.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required. Local SE Asian languages beneficial.

Location

Location to be determined in south or southeast Asia.

Period of Performance

Full time position for the project duration, subject to availability of funding, following an initial probation period.
