The Opportunity
Your position is key for enabling and shaping our Group Legal & Compliance Department to serve their clients more effectively by applying business and technical practices to the delivery of our services. You are excited to accompany our support team on its journey and help create an inspiring and collaborative team environment. The team you will be leading consists of 8-10 colleagues who are mainly involved in Corporate Services (Legal), Information and Document Lifecycle Management (e.g. contracts), as well as systems administration (e.g. our contract automation and repository tool).
In this position, you will be working closely with IT and our digital transformation lead to help identify strategic investments that build capacity for our organization with a strong focus on business process management and automation / technological solutions. For example, designing a sustainable knowledge management approach for Legal and Compliance.
As Team Leader Legal & Compliance Operations you will work closely with business process owners, assessing efficacy and customer experience of end-to-end business processes that are consistent with the wider organizational design. You will ensure a sustainable adoption of new or improved business processes with a focus on Legal & Compliance Operations.
Who You Are
You bring a good understanding of, or are interested in the opportunities technology offers for the legal & compliance profession and are willing to grow your technical skills and understanding in this area. You have team leadership (Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst) experience, and you have a passion and interest to lead a team coupled with the willingness to learn and invest time and effort to gain the required skills.
In addition, you bring the following skills:
- You enjoy working with a range of different stakeholders, are able to balance perspectives, and apply an enterprise mindset
- You are fostering process orientation and optimization of process descriptions, work instructions and play books
- You have successfully managed business process improvement projects
- You have excellent communication skills and you are fluent in written and spoken English
- Experience working with methodologies such as Agile, Lean Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Customer Journey mapping
