Job Mission

As the International Product Manager (IPM) for cobas® x800 Software & Workflow, you will lead at the forefront of innovating our Molecular Work Area systems and solutions. Reporting to the International Business Leader, you will shape the future of our cobas x800 Systems and PCR Systems portfolio, driven by your passion for digital health innovation. You enjoy fostering a culture of cross-customer area collaboration, where diverse minds come together to drive groundbreaking advancements.

Your Impact

Product Strategy & Management:

  • Lead the development and execution of the strategy for cobas x800 Software, MWA digital and workflow tools/solutions, ensuring alignment with long-term vision and architectural alignment with MLCA, RIS and other customer areas
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive lifecycle management, local commercialization and obsolescence of system software, in alignment with the portfolio roadmap and strategy that you will contribute to building
  • Gather customer and business requirements, incorporating continuous feedback with affiliates and customers, and translating them into product features that differentiate our offerings in the market

Software Connectivity & Interoperability:

  • Lead planning efforts to ensure connectivity and interoperability of cobas x800 Systems with key system and solution interfaces.
  • Provides product support, training and tools to aid affiliate sales and service efforts, serving as an active member of the Systems Product Care & Quality Team (PCQT)

Marketing Management:

  • Support the implementation of the Systems IBT Global Marketing Plan, monitoring market developments and proposing countermeasures, collaborating on creation of marketing assets/campaigns and key competitive assessments and strategies

Your Profile

Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Science, MBA preferred
  • 3+ years of product marketing management experience, including software management, core marketing disciplines, business planning, and P&L management
  • Fluent in English
  • Proven ability to prioritize requirements and make trade-off decisions, with effective communication to diverse stakeholders, capable of participating in frequent global conference calls and travel to teams around the world (up to 40%)
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and influencing skills, working with multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment to develop strategy and business cases, articulating investment vision for development projects

Preferred:

  • 3+ years of related experience in the Medical Diagnostics or Device industry, preferably in marketing class 1 and 2 type IVD instruments
  • Fluency in instrument installation and serviceability concepts; understanding of LIS and middleware interfacing
  • Global experience, e.g. has worked in a global role or has worked in multiple affiliate or business unit environments, working with the fundamentals of design control processes for the development of regulated medical devices
