Job Summary:
The Business Development Officer main responsibilities are to generate new business opportunities/services that contribute towards revenue generations, improve profitability, and assist in business growth.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
- Identify new business opportunities and client leads for ZainCash services in areas of bill collection, cash disbursement, and merchant payments.
- Pursue leads through calls, emails, meetings, and other methods.
- Manage pipeline of deals from Lead Creation, Contracting to Activation.
- Work and manage initiatives to acquire new clients and enhance engagement of current client base.
- Develop presentations, proposals, and campaigns for new services/ products or opportunities.
- Monitor tenders and apply to relevant ones accordingly.
- Monitor market needs, trends, and competition
- Manage project workstreams and develop initiatives, deliverables, and reports
Requirements
Education and Requirements / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is a must and preferred in business administration.
- At least 2 years experience in business development or any other related fields.
Skills and Competencies
- Capable of Microsoft tools (Excel, Presentations and Word)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working experience with a sales background is preferred
- Strong relationship building skills—client-focused
- Excellent listening and negotiation skills
- Detailed oriented
