Department Profile

Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures and markets.

This position will support the firm’s Middle Office operations space.

Responsibilities for the position will entail various functions to update and support customer accounts. This will further entail use of firm middle-ware applications and Microsoft Office to carry out daily responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or higher preferably in business related field
  • Familiarity/intermediate level of expertise with Microsoft Office products especially Excel
  • Coding skills in Python or Visual Basic a plus
  • Analytical/inquisitive mindset

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $65k and $70k per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
