You will

As a Communications Manager for Garnier you will help craft, curate and protect the brand’s image and reputation in the beauty industry. Developing Motherbrand strategy alongside the General Manager, working with the Marketing teams to implement this within each category.
Guardian of the brand’s image. Cast a critical eye over all content creation, key campaigns working with the Marketing team. Ensure creative/visual outputs are to a high standard (e.g. Event production, invitations, press releases, content).
Guardian of the brand’s reputation. Ensure all potential contentious messaging is low/medium risk and that there is a reactive strategy in place in case of Crisis i.e. reactive statements. Ensure all key stakeholders are across this decision General Manager, Marketing Directors, Corp Comms and in some cases Adcom (Country Manager). Topics include but are not limited to animal testing, vegan, coral bleaching, other suncare issues, plastic and other sustainability issues, colourants issues etc.
Ensure that the Motherbrand vision is communicated to top level, trusted press contacts so that each product launch has a story / context (ingredients, sustainability, and packaging innovation) beyond just the product itself.
Develop and drive campaigns for key launches alongside the Marketing Teams, Head of Digital and Social Brand Manager for 360 plans encompassing comms/PR, influencers, digital and social.
Meaningful relationships with all key press contacts, agents etc. to ensure all launches and stories land in the right press & social in the right way.
Own and manage brand partnerships e.g. British Skin Foundation, local Brand Causes/Charities.
Budget management (comms, events, social) by brand and category.
Create and write (with the support of Product Brand Managers) Internal Communications materials and events to excite and educate the Garnier and wider Consumer Product Division and total L’Oreal group employees and their circles of influence where relevant.
Contribute to regular (monthly) meetings with Digital and Social Brand Managers on Garnier, as well as the Consumer Product Divisions advocacy teams. (Sharing strategy, learnings, align on upcoming launch elements to feed into content calendars etc., brainstorms etc
Report and analyse secured PR coverage and organic social using appropriate systems: My Market insight, Netbase etc.
Own spokesmodel contracts (Holly & Davina) and relations with agents with the support of the marketing team, Social Brand Managers, Assistant Communications Manager where appropriate (YM&U and Roxy Management) (shoot logistics, campaign approvals, event logistics, glam squad etc.)
Own senior level media relations (Beauty Directors, Editors, online news, showbiz / news desks etc.)
Oversee brand events & eventing strategy throughout the year, liaising with GM & Marketing team.
Own DMI (international team) relationship with Communications. Share local activations, learnings, opportunities etc.
Seeking out new opportunities of partnerships – identifying new talent we should be working with etc.
Lead on total brand/corporate campaigns or activations. E.g. Sustainability / TerraCycle / Ocean Conservancy, and manage the brands relationship with them

Alongside experience in a similar role and excellent communication skills, you should be confident demonstrating all of the following:
