Software Quality Assurance Engineer (English-speaking)

In the last 12 months (and for the second time) we outgrew our office space. We now have lots of room to grow in our brand new office in Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin. Our office language is English, with teammates from 30 nationalities.

We are looking for a passionate Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing QA team.

You will be involved in the full development life cycle of our MongoDB IDE desktop application. At 3T, Quality is recognized as being crucial to our success, and your ideas are sought after, listened to, and implemented.

Who you are

First and foremost, you are a passionate software tester. You love breaking software and just can’t let it go if something doesn’t seem right. Ideally, you are a motivated self-starter and have a drive to meaningfully impact our product suite.

What you’ll achieve

You will be primarily manual testing, which presents interesting and exciting opportunities given the complexity, variety, and sophistication of our products.

• Acceptance, exploratory, and regression testing of our desktop and server applications across Windows, MacOS, and Linux platforms
• Logging defect and improvement tickets and following up on their resolution
• Creating and maintaining manual test cases in TestRail
• Close collaboration with the in-house development team to recognize use cases and acceptance criteria
• Become a MongoDB expert with deep insights into how MongoDB works

What we need you to bring to the table

• At least 1 year of professional experience software testing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Extra credit if you also have…

• Experience testing desktop applications on Windows, MacOS, Linux
• Good comprehension of SQA methodologies and SDLC
• ISTQB Certification
• Experience working with: SQL databases, TestRail, Linux command line
• Familiarity with MongoDB
