The candidate will counsel clients and advise clients in the areas of products, torts, commercial litigation, real estate, intellectual property, and consumer fraud. Will advise clients of legal rights and obligations for prosecution or defense of lawsuits. Participate in court proceedings including taking depositions and appearing in court to argue motions or for case conferences. Conduct legal research and review and draft discovery requests and responses. Serve as local counsel for other law firm attorneys from other jurisdictions for matters pending in NJ courts. Mentor and peer counsel more junior associates in the litigation department and NJ office. Contribute to business and client development. Market the firm and its practice areas to existing clients and prospective clients. Draft legal briefs and memorandum for lawsuits and for client counseling. Conduct case assessments and budgeting for clients. Must be a Member of the New Jersey State Bar. This law firm has offices in Boston, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Washington, DC.
