Global Attorney Recruiting Intern

Latham & Watkins, a global law firm consistently ranked among the top firms in the world, is currently seeking bright, enthusiastic college students to join our Attorney Recruiting Department in our San Diego, Washington DC, or New York office for the summer of 2023. Interns will have the opportunity to help with strategic planning, implementation and direction of the firm-wide law school and associate hiring programs. They will work on projects related to summer program events, budget management, staffing and evaluation, and the organization of our interview programs. Tasks will include preparing lawyers for virtual interviews and career fairs, reviewing applicant resumes and transcripts, and assisting with arrangements for virtual interviews of candidates. Interns will build valuable knowledge and skills while working in a dynamic and virtual workplace, and will return to school with a broad understanding of attorney and staff positions available in the legal industry. The ideal candidates will possess well-developed Microsoft Office skills, a customer service orientation, and will have the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Interns may start employment in May or June and must be available to work through mid-to late August. Flexibility to work overtime is required and vacation days are not provided. There is some flexibility in dates is to accommodate differing school schedules.

Location: The Global Attorney Recruiting Internship can be based out of San Diego, New York, or Washington DC with opportunity to work remotely. Please note the local Attorney Recruiting internships are also available in the following cities: Houston, New York, Los Angeles, and Orange County. Approximate salary: $25/hour.
